You will understand sound theory and the chakras. You will know how to care for bowls that are born of crystal and fire. You will have given your first sound healing, and you will be certified to give the next one.
And something quieter than a skill. You become the one who can hold the space, for your people and for yourself.
WHY WE BUILT THIS
YOU HAVE ALREADY FELT IT WORK
You have lain on a mat while sound moved through water, bone and tissue, and thought quietly: I would like to be able to give this.
To your mother. To the friend who has not slept properly in a year. To the clients who already trust you with their bodies. Perhaps, in time, to a room of strangers who leave lighter than they arrived.
Then you looked. Most of what is offered online is a weekend of playlists, or a video library and a certificate at the end of it. Depth is harder to find than it should be.
This is the same training we teach in our studio in Uccle. Taught live, on the day, in a group small enough that Brian can hear your bowl and tell you what to change.
YOUR TEACHERS
SHANNON
Shannon van Staden is a Crystal Tones® Master Sound Healer, a meditation teacher, and a Chi Nei Tsang practitioner. Her work sits at the meeting point of harmonic resonance, energy healing and somatic transformation.
Before Brussels, she lived and taught in a monastic meditation community in France. That is where the discipline behind her teaching was formed, and where she met Brian.
She went on to establish the first Crystal Tones sound studio in Europe. She has taught this training since it began, and she will be with you for both days.
THE LINEAGE
LAMA BRIAN
Brian left Vermont in 1987 and has given his life to Tibetan Buddhist teaching ever since, studying directly with masters most of whom are now gone. He completed a three year Vajrayana retreat under one hundred Tibetan masters in Nova Scotia.
When he came out of it, he said he was just starting to work.
The crystal sound practice he designed for this training is where that lineage meets music theory. It is the part of Level 1 you will not find anywhere else.

WHAT ABOUT BOWLS?
Many students arrive with a bowl or two already. If you do, bring them.
If you do not have any yet, there is no need to arrive with a full set. Most students build slowly, one bowl at a time, and begin with far less than they imagine.
This is the one part of an online training that is genuinely harder from a distance, so we do not leave you to it. Everyone who pre-registers is offered a bowl consultation with the studio, at no cost. We listen to what you already own, what you want to give, and what you can spend. Then we help you choose.
Bowls ordered by 27 September reach you in time.
EARLY ACCESS
€595 UNTIL 13 SEPTEMBER
The online training is €695. Those who pre-register before 13 September are held at €595. The same two days in our studio in Brussels are €850.
Included: both days live with Lama Brian and Shannon, the complete Level 1 curriculum, your bowl consultation with the studio, course materials, and your certification.
Registration closes on 27 September, so that bowls reach you before we begin. Twelve places, kept intimate.

If you can travel, travel. A studio full of bowls, in your hands, for two days, and a room of people learning beside you. There is nothing quite like it.
Level 1 runs in person in Uccle on 20 and 21 September 2026. €850, and a few places remain.
QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
None. Level 1 begins at the beginning. Some arrive having never touched a bowl. Others are yoga teachers, therapists and practitioners adding sound to work they already do. Both belong here.
Yes. Two days of playing is what turns instruction into instinct, and you cannot do that by watching. Your consultation with the studio is included, and we will help you begin with what is right rather than with everything.
Live, both days, with Lama Brian and Shannon there with you. Sessions are recorded so that you can return to them afterwards, but the teaching happens in real time and so does the feedback on your playing.
Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October 2026, 09:00–17:30 CET on both days, with proper breaks.
Yes. Complete both days and you receive your Level 1 certification, the same certification we award in the studio.
Level 2 goes further into intervals for emotional transformation, the shamanic instruments and voice work. It is taught in Brussels, and Level 1 graduates from the online training are welcome to join. We will write to you about dates.
